split data jumps

split data jumps

I have Sonar 7 PE. My q is why does the data jump around or get integrated with the ctrl+move. I can copy and move the data around with my mouse but as soon as it gets settled it moved the other data on the same track around. Sometimes it jumps back and sometimes it just mashes up together. How do i get it to  stop doing that. It happens a lot when i split a file and try to line the audio up with the measures.

    check your snap to grid settings.
