M-Audio Oxygen 49 with Music Creator 5

I purchased the downloadable form of Music Creator 5 earlier this week, and ordered an M-Audio Oxygen 49 after reading about it on here. However, I cannot for the life of me get this thing to work as a MIDI controller for the Cakewalk Sound Center and to play music using a soft synth. I have installed the drivers for this controller from the M-Audio site for Win 7 64 bit, but I can't install any software for the controller via the disk. when I select "Oxygen" as my product in the window that pops up after I insert the CD, the only button below the drop down menu that is available is "Learn" which doesn't tell me anything about how to make the controller work in any program other than what AVID has made.

I have basically run out of patience, and bear in mind that I've never set up anything like this before. So naturally, I'm getting rather frustrated very very quickly. I'm at my wits end and I cannot find anything about this anywhere online.

Sound Card: Asus Xonar DG
OS: Windows 7 64 Bit Home Premium

buggles - it's possible that the disk they shipped with the oxygen doesn't have an installer that works correctly on 64bit.  go to m-audio's website and download the latest drivers for the oxygen there and try to install.
