Virual MIDI Keyboard

Hey all,
Just wondering if X1 has a Virual Midi Keyboard hidden anywhere?

If not I've downloaded one and I am wondering how I rout Midi from the midi track of the virual keyboard to say an instrument I have loaded.

I think not.  Over a decade ago they had one.  Truly a major omission, imho.  I'd love to have one that would display selected tracks like in PRV) to help in voicing arrangements.  I always thought just making the graphic piano keys of the PRV "live" would be great.

Also, I would think someone would create a plug to do something like this.

X1 itself doesn't have a virtual keyboard, but some of the plugins do.

To use a 3rd party virtual keyboard, you'll also need to run some sort of virtual MIDI driver such as LoopBE or MIDI-Yoke.  They're generally pretty easy to use - run the installer, and the next time you start your MIDI-enabled apps, the driver shows up as a MID input/output device.

Your virtual keyboard would feed the MIDI input of the driver, and the driver's output would feed your DAW or plugin.

    Works great!  :)

Cheers mate, thats the one I went with, no need for a midi driver or anything. Perfect!
