share a midi track

i would like to take the midi track from my song and give it to my friend to work on while i use this machine. where or how do i get the midi file to give him to work on?
it should be simple but i can't do it. can't even find where they are saving the midi track.

    as a side note
if you have any audio in your project, then make sure that whenever you save a project, that you have "normal" or "bundle" selected.. or your audio-tracks will be lost.
(that can happen quite easily once you've chosen *.mid and start working from there)
