Bounce to track doesn't follow controller data

Current setup:
Acer Aspire laptop
AMD Phenom II X3 N830
4 GB DDR3 Memory
Roland Edirol UA-25 EX USB AudioCapture
Sonar 8.5 LE
Windows 7 64-bit
EWQLSO Gold VST synth

Problem:
When mixing the MIDI, I use the number 11 controller envelope for expression, since that's the one used on the East/West samples for, um...expression.  I get it sounding great, with the required crescendos, decrescendos, etc, and then I bounce to track...and it is obvious that the bounce completely ignored all my expression data.  And a MIDI controller envelope isn't going to affect an audio track, so I can't just copy and paste the envelope on the bounce to avoid having to completely redo my expression & balance.

What I've tried:
-On my old setup with Sonar 4 Producer, I just recorded MIDI to audio internally, because playback responds to the controller data, and if I just hit the record button, it responds to the controller data, so I was able to make it work.  With my new setup, I finally found out which setting to change in Windows 7 to allow this...except it is only an option for input on my audio tracks if I have Sonar set for MME drivers, which does not work well with the Edirol (it either does not play every other note or stutters something awful).  I could unplug the device to record to audio, but that seems a little...counterintuitive to unplug the external audio card and use the laptop's built-in card.
-I've also tried increasing the latency, partially for other interesting issues, partially for this.  Hasn't made a difference.
-The only other programs running are MSN Messenger and Sticky Notes.  From old habit with a finicky old computer with little memory, I never do anything on the computer while it is bouncing to track, recording, whatever.  I sit and watch the progress bar or read a book.  So it's not like I'm stealing processor power from it.
-Also tried turning off the Multi-Processing Engine, since I saw another post about it regarding dropouts.  Didn't solve the lack of controller data, didn't solve the problem of dropout during bouncing (which I'm not too worried about at this precise moment--I can re-bounce if I have to, although I'd prefer to simply record internally, to make up for dropouts, but re-bouncing does not solve the controller issue).
-Have tried the Performance & System, um, can't remember what they're called, enhancement suggestions in the UA-25 EX manual.  Did that a while ago trying to fix other issues before I even knew this one existed.

I just want to write my music, mix it, and share it with others.  I've spent all day trying to bounce a 1:24 orchestral piece that actually sounds like it is supposed to.  If you know what I can do to fix or work around this (other than creating complex volume envelopes for each audio track), please, PLEASE, let me know!!

Thanks!
