Dragging audio from browser into track - not playing nicely

Hi guys,

started using X1 a bit, water testing as it were...

I'm having an issue with audio dragged from the browser into the track. Some files drag in no problem and I can release the mose anywhere I want and the clip stays there. Other times, the audio file dissappears (or seems to) on closer inspection it has inserted it a huge distance from the end of the song, I have to scroll for a long time to locate it.

Once I have found the rogue clip, i can drag it back but this is a strange issue. Only seems to be some clips and not others though, I cannot find a reason for this. It seems that it also makes no differrence where the cursor is.

Anyone else had this issue.

Broadcast wav -files include a time stamp which determines where they're positioned. That's correct and intentional.
I believe X1 has, like earlier SONARs, a checkbox for "Import Broadcast wav at the time stamp", if you uncheck that the files should drop where you drag them.

SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.

You are correct. This drove me insane until I disabled this option. I'd do some field recording and then on import have my wave imports 40 hours in the future.

If you're working on time synced mediums, like film, this is a godsend. For everyone else, disable it.
