Audio To Groove Clip

Usually when I create a groove clip from an audio clip, it will snap to the nearest measures.  The audio clip I'm working with now doesn't do that, when I convert it to a groove clip, the audio is stretched, lengthening it by 2 measures.  I'm not sure why this is happening, any ideas would be appreciated.

    Hi, Are you sure the Clip is set to the correct "Beats in Clip"?

    Hi Frank, thanks for the reply.  I was able to get it right by entering the Beats In Clip value via the Channel Strip and adjusting the length of the clip with the Edit tool.  Is this the best way to set up the Groove Clip?

    Typically I would just trim the section you want to make into the loop (making sure it loops smoothly), then turn it into a Groove Clip, set the Beats In Clips,  then go in and make sure all the Slice markers are set correctly, done. After doing a few you'll get the hang of it really quickly. Then you can start your own loop business and be a millionaire! (At least I believed them when they told me that :-)
