Not getting any guitar input

Not getting any guitar input

last night i set up my v-studio 20 with Guitar tracks on my computer.
When I plug my guitar into the v-studio i'm not getting any sound though. however when i use the tuner it shows that there IS input.
i've tried messing with the drivers and i have no clue what i'm doing wrong here. Can anyone help?

     Can you get any other sound out of it?  Are you using it with Guitar Tracks or some other software?  I take it you've already pressed the "Guitar/Bass" button to switch your input to that, right?  

    If you don't have it working by Tuesday I'll be able to help better once mine gets here.

    I've read through the manual like 20 times now. I've got it to where I'm getting guitar playback out of my computer's speakers. When i open VS-20 editor I can use all the effects, tune, etc. And now in Guitar tracks it's showing input but when I record i'm still getting nothing

    Also forgot to mention I'm running Win7
