Console screen

When I open the Normal template it has a part of the console at the bottom of the screen.
How do you open the console to a full screen from the normal template?

Alt 2 and then expand as required.  For me, the console (full screen) view should be a standard view!

actually alt 2 only works if the console is not docked in the multidock unless I'm missing something.  From the normal template just left click where it says console in the multidock and choose undock then expand the window.  You could also just double click where it says console and it will expand the multidock.  You could also close the tab in the multidock then hit alt 2.  I think the best way to do this though is setup a screenset that has a maximized console.....

I use all ten screensets, different zoom settings on some, couple different mixers, 1 audio tracks, 1 midi tracks, 1 stereo busses, and a mastering view.  I couldn't live without screensets now...

Couldn't agree more. In fact I could do with more screensets.

If you want it completely full screen then minimize the inspector (also part of the normal template) by pressing "i", then minimize the browser by pressing "b", finally to view the console view completely, press shift + d. This will enlarge the console, docked in the multidock, into the full screen.

You can also drag the console out of the dock, and set it to "disable floating", and have it behave like it used to in 8.5 and earlier. I do it that way, not because it's better especially, but I'm in the habit of using CTRL+TAB to switch between the console view and the track view.
