copy and pasteing automated parimeters help

when ever i copy and past a clip, i am never able to copy the automated perimeters iv created in the clip. there is an option for clip automation when i copy something but the option is never available for me to check. this would save alot of time, as i would not have to re-automate the clip. is there a way to copy and paste the automated effects iv created ? thanks

Are you absolutely 100% sure that the automation you've applied is clip automation and not TRACK automation?

Have you tried Control + dragging the clip to the new location? This method should (and does on my system) copy the clip + any clip automation applied.
