What type of EQ is the ProChannel?

My assumption would be that Pure is linear phase and vintage is minimal phase. What's the modern?

Just curious. The manual doesn't get into too many details about this aspect.

cheers,

The ProChannel is not linear phase. That would be bad for a track EQ as linear phase inherently introduces latency. In a nutshell, the ProChannel EQ is a single algorithm with three different modes/ behaviors.

The difference in the modes is the way the Q interacts with the gain. Here's the breakdown...

Pure: The more boost/ cut the narrower the Q gets ... similar to SSL style EQ
Vintage: The more boost/ cut the wider the Q gets ... similar to Neve style EQ
Modern: Constant Q throughout boost/ cut ... digital/ colorless style EQ

Zoom (disconnection module Eq) eq would be good. As with eq Sonitus in Sonar 8.5.
