Sonar X1 " Screensets " for Dual-Monitor setups ...... anyone have some to try out ?

 Hi all

I have just moved to a dual-screen  2 x 24" setup  - Samsung 24 inch   Model:   2443BW+    16:10 Aspect   1920 x 1200 resolution - magnificent image / screen quality - absolutley brilliant stands that do everything  - 3 year warranty  -  only  ~$310 each ..... amazing !!!!

Screensets

Does anyone have any screen sets they have made for dual-screen setups  ?

Would be great to try out other peoples ideas.

Many thanks,
TomG

    I have the exact same setup, Samsung monitors as well.

    I actually only use the left monitor for tracking and the right monitor is for plugin windows and full screen Piano Roll View.

    I don't like spanning the track view across both because of the bar of monitor edges in the way (yeah, I'm OCD)

    I usually leave the Track View open in my main screen and then put the MultiDock on my second monitor with the various editing windows open in it, and then have the Console View floating in my third monitor. Then I will build different Screensets off of that in different projects if needed.

    Well you asked..............if you're suffering from insomnia you can have a look at a post I made a while ago HERE

    While most of them have now morphed the basics are still there and it may give you a few ideas.

    NOTE: To have different snap to settings in screensets now you need to set a variable...

    Preferences->File->Intialization File

    IncludeSnapInScreenset=1

    Not trying to hijack the tread.. I'm having issues using a touch screen.

    Seth, is there any developer using touch screen ? Will X1 work with touch screen ? I'm having problem using touch screen controlling the mixer fader.

    This is exactly what I do. I try and use the Multidock to house all of these things except my spectrum analyzer UI (which I always tuck into a corner) but the multidock seems to "home" to the bottom of the main view when SONAR is closed so sometimes I forego it.

    What hardware would I need to have 3 monitors on my pc? I have a graphics card with 2 monitor outputs now, do you get cards with 3 outputs?

    You can use multiple graphics cards if they are PCIe, which literally every modern motherboard has nowadays. Or, many modern video cards have three, four, even six discreet outputs. For example, the graphics card in my HTPC, an AMD 4890HD (two generations old and long in the tooth by todays standards) has HDMI, two DVI and one VGA output. In my DAW I use two nVidia 8400GS PCIe cards, which each have two DVI outputs, so I could hook up a fourth monitor if I wanted (or could find the space).

    Works great!

    I guess somebody does them but you can run 2 graphics cards at the same time, slots permitting of course.
