Dimension Pro + Expansion Pack + Rex woes in Win x64

Hello,

I'm having a kind of nightmare trying to install Dimension Pro stable in win7 x64.

Here is the best sequence I found so far to have all of its features and sounds available and working:

1) Install Dim Pro 1.2 (x86 version!) from 8.5 (or X1?) Producer Edition DVD; if you don't install x86 version you loose rex file compatibility

2) Install all Dim Pro Additional content INCLUDING expansion packs 1-2 from the additional content DVD - if you don't install here expansion packs you won't have some groove multisamples in rex format

3) Install Dim Pro 1.5 update

4) Install Expansion Packs 1-3 compound file for Dimension Pro v1.5 (available on the Dim Pro support area in Cakewalk website) - if you don't install this file you won't get the 3rd pack installed (why the hell didn't they make rex files included here as well?)

This procedure brings rex file compatibility and rex grooves from expansion pack 2.
What do you loose? The uninstall doesn't work here, and you have to use a bridge to have Dimension x86 work in an x64 host, even though without rex support.

Kinda messy, but a fair compromise imo ......

Hope it helps,
