Four day weekend.... YAY!

That's the good news.

Bad news is I woke up with headache. I may need the second half of Randy's universal cure all.

I have to go to Biloxi and interview some celebrity type tomorrow.

If you stop by, the DVD player is loaded and ready to play.

So the place is all mine?

I may find the plastic covers and just put them back on as soon as I get there.

I added some days to it so I could get some
    work done around the house.
The cement truck driver  took a 10' gate and some fencing with him.

I do have a nice big slab now....but my yard and gate is trashed.

Headache here too Bapu...still 4 days to recover though!

Not for us Walmartians. Time and a half, baby!

Have fun, everyone! And remember what the day is, too.

What a great opportunity to post a link to my song relating to such things, but I won't.

Walmartians - hadn't heard that one before.  Up here, WM is generally referred to as "Wally World" and the people that work there don't have any particular "nationality."

I do have to put in about 1.25 days this weekend, since church doesn't shut down... but, vacation later in the week, so it'll all work out fine.

    Celebrities go to Biloxi?

It must be a cool place.

They must go there because they think Mike McCue is going to be in town.

Yes, I have to work, too. But that's ok.
For those of you that have the weekend off, enjoy it. I will be enjoying it vicariously with you.
And take a moment to remember why.
I've been to Arlington, Little Big Horn, and cemeteries in France and Belgium. One cannot visit such places without being moved.
Row upon row of tiny crosses. Like fields of wheat.
I have a 48 star flag and a box of medals. I fly that flag once a year.
    It's for my dad.
It's not to mourn his loss, but to celebrate his dedication.
So enjoy that burger, that beer. Toss a frisbee around.
But remember that we are celebrating the fathers, brothers, cousins, uncles, grandfathers that paid the ultimate sacrifice.
    For us.

I remember standing at the Viet Nam memorial wall in D.C. and crying like a baby and I've not lost anyone to war.
