Snap-to-Grid still broken in Staff view

The QuickFix build effort is much appreciated, but unfortunately X1 is still unusable for me. Snap-to-grid in Staff view just doesn't work, and as a composer & orchestrator, that's the single most important feature of Cakewalk to me. Inputting a simple measure of 4 quarter notes in Staff view with the mouse is now so time consuming that it's not even worthwhile.

I know how to use the new snap controls--they work fine in Piano Roll view; they just seem not to apply in Staff view. I filed CWBRN-3998 for this issue, and it would be great to see a fix for this really soon!

Until then, I'm still stuck using SONAR 8, wishing I had waited longer to make my X1 purchase. I love the new layout & consistent tool set, but this is a show stopper for me.
