New Guage Guitar Strings
I've changed my string guage on my Strat from D'Addario XL 110's to D'Addario EXZ140's. E -.010 B - 013 G - 017 D - 030 A - .042 E - .052 On my last recording the tone was better to me so I think I will keep them! they feel better to me too.

You might try the Boomers "David Gilmour" Blue set. Quite Tasty. 48 38 28 16 12 10 Although you do seem to like that "fat bottom";-)

Probably a good idea to check the nut before changing the gauge. If it's a well made nut doing this without making the right modifications to the nut is going to cause many issues and none of them are good. ie; a Fender stock .042 to a .052 is not going to work good IF the nut was cut right at Fender. And if it works fine....well enough said. It also means to reset intonation and watch neck relief. In some cases it may mean needed work on the bridge saddles too.

E -.010 B - 013 G - 017 D - 030 A - .042 E - .052 Those are the guages I use on all my electrics, although mine are Dean Markleys. I hate the super-bendy lighter strings. I sometimes ask for a wound G-string, but it depends on who's working the counter that day...
