New project - The Devil and His Money

This is another project I've been recording besides my own stuff . This is an instrumental because we haven't tracked vocals yet . Looking for tips and what not .

    Hi Douglas,
    that ride on the left is a little annoying, IMO.  way too busy (then the crash on the right did the same thing later - too busy for this song).  I'd bring the guitars up quite a bit here, you don't have any real focus in the mix.  are you the drummer? lol.  the drums are more prominent in the mix than anything else!

    it could use some overall compression/limiting, too.  this is an instrumental, so I'm guessing that distant lead (way too low in the mix and way too much reverb?) is supposed to be carrying the melody, but it's not conveying the message, IMO.

    the change up at 4:40 is nice, but the drums seem "off" here compared to the rest of the instruments.

    this is a good work, but the mix does need some work.

    I hear ya on the drums and ya I do the drums on songs I post here ..lol . It's not a finished piece and I appreciate you giving her a listen .

    nice song again. Reece makes some good points, though I think i am maybe more attuned to this style, so i don't mind the way you mix this stuff. can't beat a bit of shoegaze.
