Moving Clips track2track within Lanes Still Not Working Right!

I continue to have difficulty with this... I thought it was supposed to be fixed, but if so, it's not.

I have 8 lanes in each of two tracks with 4 of the lanes containing clips...

I select three clips from one track and shift-drag them up to empty lanes in the other track...

A few things go wrong... Some clips disappear, some get moved under other clips (on other lanes)...

I'm forced to move them one at a time to get around this...

    when you drag and drop the clip, does a drag and drop option, come out? There should be an option there about Blend old and new, replace old with new and slode over old to make room. If it doesn't pop out, try going to options menu->Drag and Drop Options and choose there.

    Thanks... but this isn't related to any of those options...

    This is purely a matter of moved clips maintaining their' relative postions and getting dragged to the relative track/lane. No clips are combining.... but they often get moved from their original relative arrangement and frequently get placed underneath clips on lanes not within the arranged clip area...

    For example... If I have clips on lanes 2,3, and 4 and drag them to lanes 3,4, and 5 on another track, one of them may get moved to lane 1 instead of it's expected lane 4 or some such... and even get placed under an existing clip....

    Soon, I hope...

    It gets very tedious moving one layer at a time when there are many to be moved...

    BTW... sorry for calling them "lanes" as I meant "layers"... ;-)
