What's the error message? That is not an error message.

That message usually means that soundcard and SONAR are set to different sample rate.

SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.
The benefit of being a middle aged amateur is the low number of years of frustration ahead of you.

Thanks Kalle

Interface seems to insist on coming up as 96kHz and not sure how to change it. I have tried changingthe settings within sonar to match it but still getting the same error. I have tried installing Sonar X1 on a Windows XP 32 bit machine but getting the same problem.  On that system the internal sound card is disables so not even showing up in Sonar settings. The interface seems to work fine on Audacity on both systems so looks to be a problem between Sonar and the Zoom R24 (GR-55 works fine in Sonar)

I have been able to playback through an R-16 but have not been able to get it to work as a controller. Honestly I have not put in the time I should, I got frustrated... I may try again but maybe not. I may just sell it and get an Alphatrack which I think would be better for my needs. I hope you get it working.

On the R16--If it defaults to 96kHz, press USB>enter>reset.  I assume it works the same with the R24.  BTW, I'm using ASIO4ALL. The Zoom driver (as of a year ago, when I got it) was kind of hinky, but ASIO4ALL has been flawless.

Just tried that but what I get when I hist USB is the option to Terminate>Yes or No. I select Yes I then have to re execute Audio Interface connection to get it back up and just comes back as 96kHz.

Going to try latest ASIO4ALL drivers to see if that helps

Ok I seem to be getting somewhere but not uite their yet. ASIO drivers didnt seem to help initialy and still not sure how I got it working. Havent I can only playback cleanly if I max out the Latency to 348.3 msec. I just tried doing a recording and the latency dosent seem to affect audio playback and record. Doss seem to affect Soft Synths an the like very badly. Not sure if any body has any thouhts on this?

Also Got it working as a controller though beyond playback and volume control on the first 8 channels I haven realy experimented with it yet.

Thanks all for feedback and help.

Hi Julien

I got it working as a controller by doing the following:-

Edit>Preferences> Then under MIDI selected Control Surfaces select add New Controller Surface

From the pop up window

Controller/Surface - ZOOM R16_24
INPUT and OUTPUT Ports - ZOOM R16_24 Audio Interface.  Make sure under MIDI Devices the checkbox for both has been ticked.

Hope it helps

Tony
