    Ill bet a mother of a fallen son or daughter wishes their child had this problem ...

    Im sorry, I just heard a news story on Memorial day saying 80 percent !!! of Americans did not understand the meaning of this day ...

    I understand your concern musicman100.  Yes, Memorial Day should be more respectful than a lot of people take it to be.  However, it doesn't mean that we have to be completely serious all day long.  Also, keep in mind that people in the CH from other countries don't all celebrate the same holidays as we do in the U.S. 

    If you look, there are two or three other threads where people have expressed their appreciation for our servicemen and women, and their families.  I started one "Have a healthy and happy Memorial Day" with a brief message of thanks. 

    Another thread, "Four Day Weekend, Yay.f" started humorously, but it also evolved to be a more eloquent of an expression of thanks.  Check them out.

    I can see how this tread by itself could appear insensitive.  Thanks for bringing it up, so I could address your concerns.
