yea the Komplete 7 really doesnt hold anything special for me, I was more interested in the string upgrade, naturally, and the funk guitar, which are not included...
SOOOOO seems like there is a big(?) new (?) product coming out soon.. Komplete 8 ...huh ...

Sometimes, just sometimes, you can call up companies like this and complain that you've been waiting for a sale from them only to find that the ONE thing you need to upgrade isn't include and, sometimes, just sometimes, they may do it privately for you. It's worked for me before. Just sayin'

Here's the link for the sale. I've been kicking myself for not upgrading to Kontakt 4 back when they had the $79 introductory price, but patience has finally rewarded me. During this sale, the upgrade is even less: $74.50. I won't let this one pass me by this time!

Well, I saw this email today as well. I have K6, and have looked at K7 but to be honest, I really didn't see anything there that I especially needed or even wanted, that would make spending the bux worthwhile.
Not even at the 50% price. All I see are a few more patches for some synth pads and stuff that I would rarely if ever, use.
I would be tempted if the session Strings Pro were to come down in price to match what my 50% upgrade cost would be..... but I don't think that's happening in June of this year.....

I think I'm gonna get it. I mean for just over a hundred bucks it's worth it for me to get some of the content I'm interested in... The Finger, Ramfire, Traktor's 12, Reflektor, the Scarbee stuff, Abbey Road 60's kit, Prism, Spark, etc. That's a lot for $114! And besides, this is a tidy way to migrate all my NI kit to my new computer. I think I'm gonna need a bigger hard drive though.

I'm also thinking of crossgrading to Kontakt4, but not sure if the Infinite Player (Sonic Reality) is part of this?

When you purchase a NI product (depending on the product), they'll give you a coupon/voucher for future buys. I've seen the $60 & $29 variety...not sure if there are others. I believe you can use these vouchers only on NI's site (not sure if they'll work outside)... Komplete8 just might be around the corner as these sales NI has usually happen around June & in Dec in preparation for something new....

what I think really sux is the "upgrade" path from Kontakt 4 to Komplete 7 doesn't really exist. it's considered a "crossgrade" and it's not very cheap for that.
