Does anyone else see this behaviour?

When I delete a track (Rt click/ Delete Track), Sonar always leaps to Console view. Is this intentional? If so, why?

OK: Only appears to do it with tracks created in earlier versions of Sonar. Tracks created in X1 appear to be OK.
    Thanks Guys.

I still have 7,8,853 installed-all producer.. Cannot reproduce what you are seeing with X1b 246

Sorry, I mean with tracks imported from (in this case)  8.3.1 into X1 for re-working.
    Cheers

That's a built in feature to encourage creation of only new material.

Sorry, unable to reproduce it.  Contact CW tech support?

I started out with nothing and I still have most of it left...

Re:Does anyone else see this behaviour? 2011/06/01 01:58:32 (permalink)
The work-around is to cut the data out on the old file into a new X1 one. This also solves the other occasional issue of there being an interesting 2 second delay twixt pressing "R" and any recording getting done. No such issues with files begun in X1. I've been with Cakewalk since DOS4.5 and this has been the longest break-in period of any version to date. I'm starting to look like tweak :-)

Edit: The other related one, is that when I load Kontakt (4.x) into an audio track in an old file, it wont load instruments the first time I try. I need to crash out of Sonar and try again. All will work fine from then on. Again, only with old files brought into X1. God help anyone less technical than me.

I have yet to start a new project in X1. All of my projects are imported (well opened, not imported) from 853 and below. Kontakt 4 for me does not do what you say.
I do think you do have something wrong there, but i cannot help-sorry

Thanks everyone for your input. It appears I'm alone with this one. I tweak on ...!

Keep the thread alive-someone here will have an answer. I, for one, will keep checking back.
The right clcik opening the console view is really weird.
