come on up/down to Little Cottonwood canyon, where we just recieved 13" of fresh snow!! i was going to go skiing on mem. day, but alas, i was down in the desert, at Canyonlands, and it was almost 90 degrees, blue skies. drove back to salt lake city, and had SNOW in my backyard!!! heheh hey, snowbird will stay open til july 4th! book your summer ski trip now......

As much as I hate cold and snow (driving in it), that sure looks good now. Just finished some yardwork out in the sauna that is North Carolina.

and yes, those pictures are from this past monday, may 30th. snowbird has a current base of 182" ( that's fifteen feet, folks ) and is sitting at 776" of snow this season (so far)

Bat, I really, really don't like you right now. We were in Denver last week, and i got to see the high country get a fresh dousing of snow. Now I'm back in Fort Worth. The closest thing to skiing is sliding down the stairs on a sheet of cardboard. Tempting actually.

With that much snow on the ground... they might be able to ski all summer long this year...and when it finally gets low, it will be September and time for more snow to start the next "official" ski season.... Yeah... Greg is right about NC ... we are having a small heat wave right now due to a ridge of high pressure in the area.....

i learned to ski in north carolina..... up near banner elk.... at hawksnest, sugar mountain, Beech mountain they have a pretty short season.... and the snow is gritty ice! LOL but i still dug it.....
