common expression down here , in fact there even is a seasoning called slap ya momma marketed down here.\

I hear it from time to time... usually in the context of discussing food....
I wonder if it means the food is so good that you just loose control or... if it means you realize the food is so good that the stuff your momma has been fixing for you is so bad by comparison, that you just want to slap her for not learning how to cook properly.... I'm thinking.. the latter.

I am glad you clarified that one. If I ever have the occasion to go to Canada I would have scratched my head and asked whoever said it to please repeat it.
After the second time I would have quietly said,"okay" and tried to get as far away from that person as possible.
