v-vocal help

i am using sonar 7 producer edition and the problem i am having is that every now and then when im playing back audio my system will freeze and say something like, "fatal error, v-vocal" and some other stuff and a bunch of numbers. i then have to restart sonar. its very irritating as i only have 2 chorus tracks, and 2 backing tracks with v-vocal applied. my CPU'S are both only reading at about a quarter compacity when this happens.
thank you

cronus.dll is V-Vocal. The exception is an access violation, probably a buffer overflow. You can usually avoid this by working on only one or two V-Vocal clips at a time and bouncing them as soon as you're done with your edits.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

    Good catch Daveny!
I had this issue working with a song just a few days ago.  I didn't have that info, so I reloaded my 8.5.3
Worked fine after that, but now that I know what it really is, I can look for that first!

I ocassionally have had this problem as well.  I followed the instructions in the CW link daveny5 referenced.  However, in my case, the problem only got worse.  So I switched everything back and figured I just had to live with it.  Unfortunately, unless CW does a complete rewrite of v-vocal, it doesn't seem to me that things will get any better.  From what I gather, it doesn't look like Cake did anything to fix the problem in X1 either.  Too bad, because for the most part, I like v-vocal.

Can you get to a point where you can bounce your v-vocalled tracks or does it crash upon insertion?
