Save as CWB re-open, and tracks are all screwed up

I have a song that sounded good, Saved the whole mix to a cakewalk bundle file.

then when I opened the bundle file again, my bass track was gone and there was a guitar track in its place (essentially had a copy of one of the guitar tracks in place f the bass)

and everything was panned strange and has a weird echo.

Sounds like I am listening to it from a hundred yards away through a tunnel.

My stereo tracks got converted to mono too.

If I open the original saved as "normal" versus cwb, everything is fine.

any thoughts?

As far as I can tell CWB is from a long time ago and is not a good way to save anymore.

Use per project folder and save your projects as a CWP file. Go into the global options and designate a folder for all your CWP projects.

Does your back-up project do the same thing?

C Jay, I was trying cwb because I saw on your site that is one of the formats you accept. I hadn't done that before. So I thought I would give it a shot because it seemed pretty convenient sort of zipping the whole thing into a single file that can be opened w/ Sonar versus exporting to multiple tracks and you having to import them.

Today was the first time I tried that. I do have a project folder and all my songs are in individual sub folders all containing a CWP project.

I think I will just go the export route to reduce the likelyhood of introducing any issues.

Yea, I dont know what went wrong with your save. Saving as a CWB file should not do those things. It should save it exacly like the project is currently.

Have you used Audiosnap anywhere in the project?  If so this will corrupt the bundle file (I believe that this incompatibility is documented somewhere).
