Had a lot of Fun Today

Hey Cakewalkers,

After years of trying to master the guitar as well as singing along, I learnt a simple basic rule that seemed to help me endlessly.

When singing, always breath out. I'll say that again. Breath out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can always catch your breathe in between lines : )

Anxiety is when you breathe in when singing. Empty you lungs before you start.

Just thought I'd share that with you.

Thanks

Rod

    Are you pulling my leg?

Breathe out when singing. ( I knew that.... and breathe deep too)

OK here's some more for you.... Breathe out when you're about to be hit too.  Most people tense up and suck air in.... if you breathe out when about to be hit... for any reason.... someone punching you, a fall, a car accident that you see coming..... the impact will do less damage.

I leaned this in martial arts training many years ago..... it is something that must be learned, because the natural tendency is opposite.

Yep!  'Tis why we were taught to yell (Ki-ha!) as well.

Something that shouldn't be attempted in California.  Now, up here where the air is fresh, that's another story!
