Tempo and session drummer

Hi!

I'm trying to use a midi preset drum pattern from session drummer with existing audio and am really having problems determining a workable project tempo. Are there any tools in Sonar that can help me read the audio's tempo and synchronize the drums with it? Have messed with the tempo view and metronome, but can't get it just right.

    does sonar 6 have audio snap?  I've forgotten when AS was introduced. 

    even if it was introduced in S6, it was not the best reliability or workability.  it's better now, but it's still difficult to use, IMO.
