T-rack3 (IK Multimedia) doesn't work in Sonar X1
It doesn't work. it says the plugin isn't installed properly do you want it to enable (risky) or disable. That's what is says everytime i install the plugin.. it's installed well. i reinstalled it 10 times now. Is this plugin not supported by Sonar x1 ?

Works fine for me. I was using it in 64 bit using jBridge to do the bridging for the 32 bit version. But now you don't need any bridging software as the 64 bit version has been released as a free update.

Working fine here in X1 producer 32 bit, I didn't have to do anything strange to get it to work either. Do you have another host to test it with to make sure the plugs themselves are getting installed successfully? What version to you have - standard or deluxe? I actually just have a bunch of the single processors, so I've installed them each individually, but they all work and they work in the shell too. If you can't get it happening, I suspect IK support is the right place to get help. You can tell them that others on the CW forum have them working fine in X1.

I had the same problem with the Brickwall Limiter. The answer is to right click your sonar icon and 'run as administrator'. This works though annoying to have to remember.

Hi It is possible your anti-virus setup is interfering..try turning it off to install. Also after the install ..in the VST manager select "reset all" (I believe that is the correct name) and then scan the VST's. I learned this from Waves.

Aha... that sounds like it could be promising. I think maybe a lot of people, like me, have administrator privileges on their main user account, so never run across this. Would be interesting to know if that solves the problem...

In W7 right click on your icon, go to Properties/Compatibility and tick Privilege Level so it always runs as Administrator.

I run X1 as administrator always and I had troubles with the new 64bit installs of all the TRacks plugs as well. At first, TRacks S3 would authorize and then say it wasn't everytime it was loaded. And three of the "Classic" plugs would say they weren't authorized (even tho they were) but when I'd click through that dialog it would say they WERE actually authorized but then they would only operate in demo mode...sending out a noise burst every 15 seconds. After uninstalling and reinstalling several times I got everything but my Linear Phase EQ working just fine but it still says it isnt...then is...then isnt authorized. I'm sure I'll get it working but the new "Authorization Manager" is a little glitchy at times.

I have no problem with T-Racks here. Windows 7 64 bit with Sonar 64 bit. IK-Multimedia just released T-Racks 3.5 64 bit as a free upgrade to T-Racks 3 users.

I had no problems either. If you bought it as part of the mastering software, it may not be able to be used in another host. Can anyone confirm that?

Finally got Linear Phase EQ working as well by continuing to click through all the "wrong" dialogs and then forcing it to go to IK's website and "authorize". I'm sure I burned up one extra authorization...but who cares...now everything is runnin hot straight and normal.
