copy track+effects (in that track) in another project?
is there a way to copy or clone a track+effects (in that track) in another project?
because i had to record on another project because the one i was using had too many tracks already and was causing lag to my audio card when recording. but now all the recording is done. id like to switch that track to my main project. ty

just open both projects and drag and drop.

sorry but with sonar 8.5 drag and drop doesn't work.
i can just copy the waves recorded in a track and paste it in a new audio track in main project. but when i do this .. all the timings and tracks in my main project are ****ed

I have trouble believing that. I have dragged and dropped between projects many times, but I don't know if I've specifically done it with 8.5, I'll have to check that when I get home, but there's no reason for me to believe it would work for previous versions and not 8.5.

have u tried gettin the effects on the track how you want them, soloing that track and exporting it then importing it into your new project?

here what im doing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pofQBWDnkgc illtech: your method i would lose some quality audio. i have cheap audio card "soundblaster live!". so id like to copy or clone or drag and drop the exact same audio track. i don't really mind about the effects.

ok - I see what the problem is - video tells all! don't try dragging the track itself, grab the waveform and drop it into an existing (new) track in the new project. then drag each of the FX from the FX bins into the new projects' FX bins.

ok beagle, i tried what u said but all the fades between each waves are not correct. and the 1rst track effects dragged but not working and the 2nd track ... it wont drag anymore. anyway .. like i said , at least copying waves exactly how they are wont be already good.

...all the fades between each waves are not correct...
Instead of dragging, try using Copy & Paste. Tick the "Track Automation" and "Clip Automation" options in the Copy dialog box box.

For dragging the effects between projects, including the current settings, hold CTRL while you drag.

its worst when i copy paste .. all metronomes and waves change badly.
