Five Pieces for Virtual Instruments (1st piece)

I am in the process of composing five new pieces for my 12th album. Here is the first.

It is music designed to be enjoyed by those who love electronic music and contemporary classical music.  This particular piece is inspired, in part, by baroque music.

For those that are interested, this was done in Sonar 7, using the Vienna Instruments Symphonic Cube library.  33 tracks.

Comments OK.

    Oy!  Outstanding!

Because I also write classical music, I enjoyed your presentation very much.  You demonstrate a mastery of composing and orchestration.  Thanks for posting your fine music.

This is excellent!  Nice flow between different parts and very good drama.  Excellent production and arrangement.

Hi Jerry, excellent composition, sounds are pretty realistic, only the snare drum sounds a bit mechanical. Nice mix.

    Greetings, Rik

Jerry, very well done.  Really nice composition. The sounds are very realistic. Just wondering what you use for them?

You certainly know your way around a score!  That said, mixing VSL can be a very difficult chore.  Are you using MIR and/or Vienna Ensemble Pro?

I am not using MIR, I have other reverbs that do the job.  Yes, I am using VE Pro as my host and VI Pro as my player.  The entire VSL library is on a dedicated machine with 24GB of RAM.

    Best,
