No Lexicon Reverb
I have three Vienna Symphonic tracks set up as Simple Instrument tracks. Input monitoring is on. I added Lexicon reverb to the tracks. At first, I could hear the echo. After saving the file and reloading it days later, I cannot hear the reverb. (Yes, the switch is on in the FX bin.) I tried deleting and re-adding the reverb to the tracks. If it matters, in this case I am using a Medium Hall with the mix on 35%. This is not the first time I have run into this with the Lexicon plug-in. Is there something simple I am missing?

This is what gives the echoed effect in reverbs. Or maybe you need to increase the wettness or is that what he said to her?

Thanks, man, but the issue is that I hear it for a while and then later don't and then later do again. Not sure what's going on with it. Last night I could not the reverb. Closed the file and Sonar, reloaded it, and it was fine. Odd...

Maybe you have some sort of automation enabled for that plugin. That's the only scenario I can think of that can make that happen. So look for envelopes for that track and see if they are connected to the effect. I bet you mistakenly inserted some envelopes/automation. You know, I think your my lost brother.. Cj

I will check it out, thanks. And we could be bros...me being the ugly one! I see from your site that you do mastering. I may have a project or two that could use your services. I'll contact you there as the time gets closer.

For the record, the bug or behavior I described is not limited to Lexicon. I am having sporadic results with other plug-ins as well (e.g., Cakewalk reverb).

I'm assuming you're running the plug as an insert Effect in the track Fx bin. Have you tried putting the reverb on a bus and running a send to the bus?

Re: The bus solution, I will try that in order to isolate the problem, altho I will still want to be able to use insert effects, which is what I am describing here. Several people have commented on CJ and me, but i think it is just a quirk of the picture. I am much uglier in real life.

Try this: -add another plugin reverb (not another lexicon) in line AFTER the lexicon -save the project as "NAME_new" or something -exit sonar -open sonar -listen to the track to see if either reverb is there -if not, then delete lexicon, not the second one. -see if you hear it. -save project, close sonar. -open sonar, see if you hear the 2nd reverb. report back here.
