Hello!! I would like to ask anyone who has been using the V studio 700R, what is your opinion on the preamps? Are they good quality? Noise?

They are beautiful and sound fabulous. Some of the nicest mic pres I have heard in a while. You will not be disappointed.

Yeah they are definitely quality... they sound neutral but not sterile if that makes sense. Gotta say also that I'm pleased that they don't get in the way when using your own pre's and you are relying on the 700R as a convertor only. Quite good.

The 700R has been a good purchase decision and apart from the fan noise, it has some pleasing features and has replaced a MOTU 8Pre (which itself followed various other pre's) without a wimper here.

    Cheers!
