HOT....

It's been kickin' here. 100 in the shade today.
This kind of heat usually shows up in August but this
year is looking like last year. I sat on the front porch
in a t-shirt giving out candy to the little monsters.

I'm talkin' 5 months of southern heat. Folks that know
about humidity know's what I'm talkin'.
Air-con doesn't shut-off until sometime during the night
and not off for long then.

I don't know about all that warming stuff but I know
what hot is.

it's pretty steamy here in Toronto, and it'll be getting worse in a couple of hours.

I'm headed out sailing for the evening, and the sun is 10x stronger out there - something to do with the reflection off the water.  I'll get a sunburn in 3 hours on Lake Ontario, but don't even need sunscreen in the Caribbean (after a couple of days to acclimatize)!

Love the heat, love the sun, it's just that we only get it for 4 or 5 months!  haha

Here in Vegas it's been a relatively cool 95 considering it's usually 105+ by now. At least there's no humidity like what most of you must be going through......July & Aug will get close to 120 and inside the car you can fry becan on the dash.....everything's AC'd 24/7. Somehow, I still prefer the heat to the cold.

Here in our part of the country, sitting on your porch in nothing but a tshirt and offering candy to little kids will get you a quick trip to the pokey! Strange times indeed.

Oh, no, Strummy!  That's a dragon's nest you don't want to poke.  Retribution would be a swift, ruthless, devastating, testosterone eradicating, earnestly but vainly seek the sweet release of death, Zombie Apocolypse type of Holocost.

Oh, and I've tagged all of my becan with RFID tags so they can be tracked.  My BPS system (Becan Positioning Satellite) will help me hunt them down.  Of course, it talks in all kinds of wacky voices including "British".  That one always makes me think of Mr. Van Dyke.

The same almanac that correctly predicted the blizzard in April has also predicted a cooler, wetter summer for Missouri and surrounding states.  So MAYBE this 10 days of upper 90's and sun and humidity every day will be over soon.  But who knows.  I imagine they've been wrong before...

    Meanwhile...

We actually had one day that more or less reached 80 F, and it actually has rained only once in the last three days/nights.  We even had one stretch of four days without rain last month.

Coldest spring in many a year... average temperature way below normal.  There was a hint that spring pollen season was finally about to start (roughly 1 1/2 months late).

Took this picture yesterday to email to my wife. The little transmitter thingy is in a spot that is always covered in shade on my back porch.

It only got up to 97 today, but the humidity was worse than yesterday so it felt worse than the day before.
