Another post about X1 Color Scheme - With Questions

Well I've done some forum searching and have learned that if you import a color scheme from Sonar 8.5 you can "unlock" some of the color options that currently do not work in X1.  But the problem is that I cannot find where those .clr files are stored.  I did a search on my computer and found numerous .clr files for OTHER software programs but none for Sonar X1 or 8.5.  Can someone tell me what default directory those files are stored in?

I've also noticed that when I try to change a clip/track background color the only one that works (in either audio or midi tracks) is just the first one. And that choice changes the color for ALL the tracks (either audio or midi).  The 2nd, 3rd, 4th.... track color options don't do anything.  Has anyone else noticed this as well?

Thanks!

I would like to know how to do this as well as I consider the new look too dang sterile.

you might want to check out http://www.sonarmods.com/

How to save and load Colour Schemes in Cakewalk Sonar
As of Sonar 6.2 users have the ability to save and load their own (and other peoples) custom colour schemes. To do this you simply use the 'colors' control panel under 'Options' in the Sonar menu.
From this panel you can adjust the colours of pretty much all of the widgets and controls within Sonar you can also import and export schemes.
To load a scheme  put it in a folder of your choosing, then simply click 'Import Colors' and point the browser at your chosen scheme, your colour scheme should be automagically updated (although a quick restart of Sonar may be needed to get all the effects to 'kick in'). Similarly once you have tweaked your own colour scheme to perfection you can hit 'Export Color' and save your .clr file to a location of your choice

Thanks Fred, I've already got some of Panu's great templates.  I'll check out the other site as well.
