ddrum triggers - best way?

Hi,

Has anyone used ddrum triggers? If so has anyone used them for replacing sounds in X1 ? I recorded some drum tracks and also recorded the clicks from the triggers.

I have SPL drum exchanger which I use quite often which will allow me to translate the clicks from the triggers to an drum sample.

Question is... Is there anything built into Sonar like Session Drummer 3 but I am not sure how you would plug that in? thoughts?

Cheers...

Yes, you can use Audio Snap to convert audio transients from acoustic drum hits into MIDI notes. Then feed the MIDI into the sampler of your choice.

Personally, I use this method to create "Gate Tracks" that I feed via side chain into the Sonitus Gate.

If I need any sample replacement or sample reinforcement, I use Drumagog.

But with using nothing but Audio Snap and Session Drummer 3, you can sample replace or sample reinforce (which I prefer) your acoustic drum tracks.
