Older MMC control surfaces and X1

Reaching out to the world!  I have an older Ramsa DA7 MKII desk.  It is a great digital desk with great sound and a 4th layer of faders dedicated to being MMC control surface.  It was designed at a time when the Mackie HUI protocol was the standard and it worked well with Pro Tools...

I've re-arranged my production studio so I can finally take advantage of that feature.  I was up to X1 build 246 during this attempt.  The board is not exactly a breeze to configure, but it made it impossible because X1 from release to 246 buggered the MIDI input area so you couldn't select a single MIDI controller...it was all or nothing.  Fine for my performance controllers, not so much with MMC.  BTW...CW insisted it wasn't touched during migration from 8.5.3.  It was a function there.  Used it all the time.

The MMC was going in and being read as performance input.  Build 255 has fixed that perfectly, but now HUI has dropped off the map in the set up area and I don't think CW tech support knows a lot about the HUI protocol. Actually, they don't.

So does anyone either know what surface pre-set in X1 most emulates the older HUI, or is this a build it from the ground up controller assignment or ACT process?

Thanks!
