Drum Replacement Assigning Hits to Transients that are Disarmed

Working in Sonar 7 PE and when I go to use Session Drummer to replace the snare line, I assign transient markers to all of the hits I want to use for triggers.  But then when I paste the midi data onto the new track, all of the transients that I had disarmed in the original track are still triggering the new sound.  The only workaround I've thought of is to go in and spot edit the original track by deleting any part of the track that has an unwanted transient, but this is incredibly time consuming.  What am I doing wrong here?

I'm confused about what you're saying.

when you paste the MIDI data onto the new track - you're not pasting MIDI data onto an AUDIO track are you?

all of the transients that you had disarmed in the original track are still triggering the new sound - I don't follow that at all.  what do you mean by disarming the transients?

... But then when I paste the midi data...

Beagle -- This is referring to timing data extracted from an audiosnapped clip using "copy as MIDI ...". It is not supposed to generate midi notes for disabled transients.

No other transients in the pool at those same locations? If not, it could be reportable as a bug.

As for a workaround, it's probably easier to delete the resulting MIDI notes than to delete transients or delete sections of an audio clip. But still, ...

Thanks Bill.  Nope, no other transients in the pool.  It was just firing away on every single transient, armed and disarmed alike.  I was able to work through the track and just delete the sections that had unwanted hits and that worked fine.  I'm coming to accept that drum replacement is just going to be a long and tedious task any way you cut it, so whatever.
