no midi inputs or outputs

Need some help here if possible folks.  I just purchased an AllenHeath ZED 10FX board that I'm planning on using for my soundcard and I'm running it through a set of KRK Rokit 8 speakers.

I am using Sonar Producer edition and had been able to use my old soundcard without any problems (Soundblaster).  Since installing the AllenHeath board I have sound for all my audio including midi, wav, etc. but cannot get any inputs or outputs to show up in Sonar.

Any suggestions?  I have reverted back to my old soundcard for now by just reenabling it but this is going to be a pain if I have to go back and forth just to use my Sonar.

Thanks in advance if anyone has any suggestions.

Do you actually have a need for MIDI I/O, or is it the somewhat alarming "you may not have sound" message from Sonar that has you concerned?
If there is no physical MIDI I/O device present, Sonar will show nothing.
The zed has no MIDI I/O, from what I can see.
The SB would have MIDI output to its built-in synth, but it is not necessary or really recommended to use that. It may have MIDI input via standard MIDI ports or the joystick port, depending on the model.
Since the question is about no I/O showing up, rather than "where do I plug in my controller?", I suspect it is not an issue, and you can ignore the message.

Thanks for the reply Robert, but my problem is that I wanted to use the Zed for playback of my midis since I'm using it for all other audio playback.

Any suggestions as to how I do that as I can't get any midi output to my Zed.  When I go to Options/Midi Devices there is nothing for me to choose for output or input.  So how do I get the midi output to my Zed?

Did you run the Wave Profiler in Audio Options? If not, run the Wave Profiler and look in the drivers tab to make sure the device you want to use is enabled. I also suggest disabling the drivers for any audio device other than the one you want to use. This will greatly simply your configuration and can always be changed later.

The Zed is a mixer isn't it not a midi interface?

I'm sorry if I'm getting the wrong end of the stick here but you can't input or output midi to an audio mixer.
You have to input midi with a seperate keyboard or controller, and output it to a soft synth track which outputs through the master to the ZED as a wav.
