Weird dimension zero crossing issue - Video included - SOLVED

Hey guys!

I've got a gem here. The video here pretty much covers the issue. Sorry for the crackles. I don't know what the hell happened, but evidently my zi8 microphone just spontaneously combusted. I used it last week to record and it was fine. UGH. You can still understand the audio thankfully.

One thing I forgot to say is that the EXACT same behavior is present in 8.5.3, so I know it's not a regression.

My drums through dimension have a crazy off zero crossing issue. I'm not quite sure how to fix it or work around it either.

Ideas?

Thanks in Advance my peeps!

What kit are you using and are you using any filters on it?  It almost looks like a comb filter effect to me.

I checked for filters... It's set to none. BUT!  I had drive enabled... on ASYMMETRIC! doh! And it did exactly what it said it would. Wow, I feel dumb!

Thanks man. If you're ever in the San Francisco area, I owe you a beer. That is assuming our beer is as good as yours ;)

Josh, I can't offer any help on your problem, but I'd like to help with your video capture....I had a hard time listening to that and seeing some stuff. Try this when you get a chance bro...it works fantastic and it's free. http://camstudio.org/

The best I've ever used is Camtasia, but you have to pay for that. But CS works really well too for those times when you need to share some screen shot vids with your voice behind it. I hope you fix your issue...good luck.

Thanks man, I'll check it out! The vid was crap, I know =(.

The issue was due to the asymmetric distortion being enabled =)

I'll be there later this afternoon to collect the beer(even if it isn't real beer). LOL

    Glad you got it solved.
