I guess the lack of most burn settings that dedicated burning software have acts as an indication that SONAR is not specialized for burning CDs :o/ .
SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre - Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc. The benefit of being a middle aged amateur is the low number of years of frustration ahead of you.

I have upgraded to Windows 7 Pro x64 and added 4 more gigs of ram, total of 8. Activation has 15 days left and its all up to date as far as microsoft goes. X-1 P is installed with all updates and quick fixes as is Sonar P 8.5.3.
All is working well, touch wood.
My question has been answered regarding burning cd's with Sonar.

Studio One Pro can burn redbook cd's and export as mp3.
I almost returned Sonar 8.5 and X-1 as long as it was unopened according to customer support. It turns out I like X-1 and Sonar 8.5 but I dare say Studio One on a cross grade deal looks pretty inviting.

What are your thoughts on the Cakewalk Pyro Audio Creator? It cost just $49.00 AUD.

I would look for CD architect myself....

I use Nero for all my Audio CD burning. I had a version of Pyro a couple years ago and it was worse than Roxio (and I didn't think anything was worse than Roxio). Nero will burn to multiple drives (more than one at a time). Will CD Architect do that?

Cd Architect 5.2 $159.00
Studio One Pro cross grade $300.00.
Cd Architect looks like Wavelab except more user freindly.
I must admit my first album was burnt using Sonar. Maybe 100 cd's or more.
We all live and learn and make mistakes, sometimes.
Decisions decisions.

Nero has a free trial version that can be downloaded HERE There is an inexpensive "upgrade" option if you or someone you know has a qualifying version. All that's needed, it looks like, is the serial number.
