Like that Kenny, always nice to hearing you stretching out & going for it - love the section at 2:01 where you hit the higher register, really fluid playing. Great ending too..

Mmmmm "warts..." If this was mixed up right it would be fantastic! I think you played it great, get a tone monster to mix that fender in right and this is sweet. Kind of a Skynard vibe to me.

Hi Kenny, are you out of the competition after playing like this ? What is the world coming to. Seriously though, that is some tasty playing, would love to hear this with a slightly cleaner tone. Greetings, Rik

Hi James , I'm glad you enjoyed this clip for what it is , an opportunity for me to stretch out & go for it the section you enjoyed 2:01 on is my humble attempt at paying homage to Clapton when he was w Cream ahh yes that ending sure was fun to do Kenny

Hey, Kenny, Killer good stuff! Excellent playing, as always, and I'm kind of picking up a smooth Dickey Betts, early Allman Brothers, with a touch of Clapton thrown in, vibe that I really like. Very nice work! Bob

SteveStrummerUK As usual, a master class from you Kenny Did I detect a little right-hand tap there, just before the end Hi Steve , thank you for saying that kind thing about master class all i was really doing was just playing my guitar and trying to create a little excitement in the air i keep long fingernails on my right hand so I can hybrid pick .. mixing fingers w the pick ...this clip has a lot of that sprinkled throughout ... honestly , since I want to keep my nails long , i never learned how to tap right around the end there , I'm doing some pull offs w the left hand while I'm doing a thing i call stutter picking w the right hand changing the subject for a moment I do appreciate that i can come here and post clips of my guitar playing no matter what shape sonically my tunes , clips or mixes are in... here I have received more than my fair share of kind words & encouragement ... thank you Kenny

Hot licks, I agree with Frank, the tone seems a little muffled for your usual impeccable tone. But sweet licks, this would rock the house. Free beers all around. Now who would have guessed there was some country in Joe Pass protege?! Very nice. Daryl

hi Daryl, I'm glad you like the guitar playing on this clip speaking of rocking the house a new friend of mine that has a steady gig has been featuring me for 2 whole sets as a guest on his Wednesday night house band gig ... for the past 2 weeks I have gotten to plug my guitar into my Black face vintage Fender amp , set the volume to 10 & wail away all natural w just a cable from the gtr to the amp it has been very gratifying for me to get back out there playing in front of a live audience using what i call my real tone the audience response has been enthusiastic and very favorable ... so has the response from the local talent pool, w the offers to show up at jams and to guest at a few gigs Kenny

Exceptionally well played. Loved some of your phrasing... great stuff. Hi Phil, thank you for the kind words generally I like to post these GC backing tracks w my guitar playing all over them for various reasons i get a chance to put some of my guitar playing ideas out there on the net for people to hear these clips give other guitar players my perspective on how i like to play guitar over a commonly available track individual playing quality's like phrasing , the type of bends i do , note selection, what I put in , what I leave out are all part of discovering the nuances that help tell a story I leaned from copying other musicians and making it my own so go for it ...snag what you can .. I'm just here to share and plant a seed I figure I got to give it away if I want to keep it Kenny

Personally I think the warts went into hiding. Nice playing, who cares if the mix was not quite there the playing did not need it.

First heard this someplace else--liked it then, still like it now. As others have said, nicely evocative of that fluid Allmans southern feel.
