Easiest way to Zoom In/Out

So I'm tired of using my mouse to zoom in and out
and I'd like to set up H1-H2 slider on my Edirol PCR-800 to control the control the zoom.
What's the easiest way to set that up so it's global for every project?

Thanks

maybe possible through ACT then save the preset for your controller.  The easiest thing is you the keyboard shortcut ctrl plus up or down arrow for vertical zoom and ctrl plus left or right arrow for horizontal zoom that's what I do.

I'm pretty sure you can hold the CTRL key and use the up/down and left/right arrows on your keyboard. I know the CTRL and L/R expands horizontal. I use that a lot.

Notation, the original DAW. Everything else is just rote. We are who we are and no more than another. Humans, you people are crazy.

Yea that works pretty good but I'm looking for something that I can control with my left hand easily.
The left and right arrows are on the right side of my keyboard. Maybe I can set up a key binding.

Hold down "Alt-key" and use your mousewheel to zoom in and out.
"Ctrl" and mousewheel is for scrolling.

There are also a few options in the menu about this...

Thanks snaut. That tip works great. I was able to set up my value knob on the PCR to control zoom as well but there's a bug that keeps reverting the value knob back to the jog setting even after saving it as a preset.
