Exporting audio problem

When I export a track there is loud Backround/white noise throughout it. It plays the audio, but it sounds like recording that has no noise reduction.

Any ideas?

How's your routing inside the project and what are your export settings. MIDI, audio?
We can't have any ideas before we know what you're doing.

First off you should see if its inside or outside your song. After that s accomplished, all you need to do is trace your signal chain from start to finish and see if there is something wrong with it. If you dont see anything wrong with it, i would start replacing some things in it or taking out some things in it until it stops.

It could also be a demo plugin that was never registered or has expired

It could also be a playback issue. What software are you using to play back the bounced wave? If you're bouncing to 64 bit audio, that might bork media player.

    Just a thought.

I'd shut off quick bounce and do an audio bounce. You should be bouncing exactly what you hear.

I did what CJaysmusic  suggested. It seemed to help.

Thanks. I pinpointed it to the the sonitusfx reverb I was using. that seemed to do The trick.

Just off the top of my head: Is anyone less than happy with the main track interface in CWX1. I find it frustrating, it's hard using a mouse to keep from accidentally moving up or down the track I'm concentrating on. Perhaps it's my mouse, I'm using a dual boot system with the magic mouse that comes with a Mac. It's a great mouse, and boot camp installed all the corredt drivers onto Winows [7], but it's still , hard not too make a move and not slip and go all the way to the tope or bottom of the track list and have to use the side bar to get to where I need to be.

Also, I don't seem to have the option of loading a template with "no tracks or Buses" like in earlier versions of Sonar.

I don't mean to rant, but it makes minor problems harder to spot and solve.

I have a realteck Hi Def audio card (built in) and a Focusrite saffire 6 USB audio card. Sometimes I have to "reload" them into the input and outputs of a track to get them to register a signal.

I didn't instal the X1b. I installed all the other before it though. Does the X1b patch address this?

    Thanks.

    Sorry for the delayed response.

    You should:

    1. Disable the Realteck
    2. Patch to X1b followed by the hotfixes
    3. Load up ANY template, delete all tracks & busses and save it as a "Blank" template
    4. LIST YOUR ENTIRE SYSTEM SPECS

I use both Macs and PCs, and I really love the newer Mac keyboards and mice, so I got both for my Win7 PC audio setup. I'm still happily using the keyboard, best keyboard I've ever had. But I've had to abandon the Magic Mouse, as Windows doesn't seem to get along with it at all. Just as you describe, far too twitchy, and I can't find any way of calming it down. Shame, as it is fantastic on the Mac. Some PC peripherals manufacturer should rip it off, but with proper Windows drivers, they'd clean up.

BTW: If you're dual booting, you can just leave the magic mouse and a regular USB mouse always plugged in, and switch between the two as you need to (as long as you've got a spare USB socket).

I hear ya' on the mouse. On the Mac, it's great. Boot camp installed all the compatible software for windows to make it work, but it can really be annoying to work with.

I made my own empty rack template.  Just open up a factory template and delete everything then save as a project template.  If you like to always start off with an empty rack then save it with the name Normal and whenever you open cakewalk it will open to an empty rack.   I find it even more powerful though to lay out all your screensets, typical routings and save that as Normal.  Saves me a ton of time....
