Unfortunately, I've actually seen a worse picture of Eddie than that. Very sad. He used to be a really down-to-Earth guy. I got to hang out with him a few times in a certain well-known nightclub in West Hollywood where my girlfriend of the moment was a wannabe actress waitress (and, later, porn-star). He'd arrive in his Lambo with his bodyguards following in a separate car. This happened soon after he was married to Valerie when she was in NY filming that TV show, what was it called? One Day at a Time? I think that's right... I was lucky enough to talk with him a lot because A) I NEVER mentioned I played guitar, B) I didn't ask for an autograph or say things like "You RAWK Dude!" and mostly because we wouldn't discuss anything to do with music at all (except his love of piano growing up). I figured that's his "job" and he wasn't working so he'd want to get away from the topic for a bit (this is the same way I got to have a beer with Joe Montana - by the way, they both like golf).
Then, one night, "Diamond Dave" showed up and you should have seen the look on Eddie's face (not too happy and, after Dave went around being Dave, pretty embarrassed). That also was the last time he showed up at the club - too bad.
Time for all of you to head over to Beyond My DAW!
