I found this one to be funny, yet sad at the same time.

Uggh me too Bubba. When I first saw that pic years ago, I found it pretty funny then reality set in and it really bothered me. Having loved Eddie as one of my major inspirations since 1978, his looks going down the tubes as well as his playing really just hit me like a ton of bricks. Sad...but hey, we can't tell people how to live their lives although I wish at times we could smack them around and let them know they are decaying away. :(

All I know is that someone didn't read the memo regarding the definition of Casual Day.  HR is sending someone over to explain it in small words.  I believe they're also bringing a blanket.

Unfortunately, I've actually seen a worse picture of Eddie than that.  Very sad.  He used to be a really down-to-Earth guy.  I got to hang out with him a few times in a certain well-known nightclub in West Hollywood where my girlfriend of the moment was a wannabe actress waitress (and, later, porn-star).  He'd arrive in his Lambo with his bodyguards following in a separate car.  This happened soon after he was married to Valerie when she was in NY filming that TV show, what was it called?  One Day at a Time?  I think that's right...  I was lucky enough to talk with him a lot because A) I NEVER mentioned I played guitar, B) I didn't ask for an autograph or say things like "You RAWK Dude!" and mostly because we wouldn't discuss anything to do with music at all (except his love of piano growing up).  I figured that's his "job" and he wasn't working so he'd want to get away from the topic for a bit (this is the same way I got to have a beer with Joe Montana - by the way, they both like golf).

Then, one night, "Diamond Dave" showed up and you should have seen the look on Eddie's face (not too happy and, after Dave went around being Dave, pretty embarrassed).  That also was the last time he showed up at the club - too bad.

Time for all of you to head over to Beyond My DAW!
