Ever had a day just get off track ??
Yesterday was that day for me. My wife is a teacher and was invited last minute by a students parents to his graduation. He is the top student in the class. This was important to her and since we commute together(with the guard dog at home and the alarm set) I was in a position to need to go with her to this thing.
Since we were too far from home to go home before it started she had the bright idea to go to the mall, buy fresh clothes and dress there for the event.
Nothing quite like sitting in Boscovs and listening to their music while waiting for the wife to decide on what to wear, the things we do for love. She decided on three different outfits. The pants she bought me were the worst ever(God bless her soul she tried).... I either had dragging pants or a wedgie depending on how they were pulled. I opted for the wedgie most of the time so I could walk in them and tried to keep my shirt low so that noone could see.
It was cool to see the next generation of kids stepping up to the plate . It was also good to come out of those pants...could have been worse I suppose...,.My evening guitar and studio time were cut a little short. Thought about a bottle of 5 hour energy but the coffee kept me going till about 12:30. I wasn't worth a darn in the studio and that's not much of a change from any other time but it was worse then.
The studio music and recording are usually on the back burner. On the bright side, it's fun when I do get in there !! If I lay in front of a 40" TV though forget it!
Put a book under my nose and I might last 5 minutes.
