Sonar falls silent when program goes out of focus / being the active program

Hello @ll,
a rather annoying problem: When I run Sonar (X1P, still on build 184) and do something anywhere else than in Sonar (like, e.g. open a "Open File" dialogue box), Sonar will fall silent thereafter (even tho I can see the peak meters still moving when I play something). Feels to me like if Windows (7 Pro w SP1) grabs control over audio output (like to sounds clicks on opening folders and all of that folly) it's not given back to Sonar once Sonar is the active application again. (Hope I convey/ed this in a conceivable manner.)

Anybody else ever encounter something like this?
Thanks in advance for any help you ma ybe able to provide.
Cheers - S

It's common practice to disable all Windows sounds, especially if you're not using an external audio interface.

I haven't heard those annoying bleeps for years, because I turn them off even on machines that aren't used for audio.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.
