ok im trying the x1 demo but cant find things yet ,, i have some easy Q@@
how do i change the snap property;; when moving clips i change this often from measure to nudge a vocal, im lost without it??? does the in track comp, work with old projects it said i was using the sonitus eq not the new track compessor eq ????? is there any new plugs or synths in the new x1 that work for vocals and guitar bass ,as i do most tracking with these,. and is there any better pattern for the SD synth.. its easy to arrange a kit with 6 tracks with Sessson D on zep kit i live, time for a change, but is there better on x1 this is enough to get me running this DAW up to speed any thought is a++

Not at my DAW right now. IIRC there is a snap button in the toolbars. Check the prefs too.

does snap property even work in x1 , is it in new place As mentioned, there should be a Snap "module" in the Control Bar. If not, you can add it by right-clicking the bar. Also, I believe X1 starts up with Magnetic Strength enabled and set to Medium in Preferences > Customization > Snap and Nudge (be sure to enable the Advanced radio button at the bottom of Preferences). You'll probably want to set Magnetic Strength to Off to have things snap directly to the grid with no flexibility.

Hi: Right on the left top under file, edit etc... Works much better now, if you de-highlight the number box, then it is like absolute time in 8. Then the Left ckick set now, Right click set now is now under Options, next to View, Options, Track, and under Click behavior. Basically, lot of stuff are now right there. The only thing that I asked for was the latency bar if you are using WDM, great for recording and playing back adjustments, but that did not happen. Sometimes, I feel that the code writers at CW don't really do serious music, therefore they don't feel the pain we feel. Took me a while to find out. I will order the upgrade pretty soon though. I think X1 once you learn how to use, is easier than Sonar. Somehow X1 is smoother in operation than Sonar. sincerely, dan le

If you are just getting started with X1 I would recommend getting Benstat's Sonarplus that has some very beneficial utilities like note symbols for PRV as well as other features that make the transition from 8.5 to X1 feel more like still being at home. http://www.sonarplus.co.uk/
