Can I slowdown a track (audio) by 3bmp ?....

Had a session done in another studio in Pro Tools, saved in OMF and brought back to SONAR X1 at home.

Here's the situation:

- tracks in studio were done by using an audio guide track for which we did not have the bpm. Lately, Beat detective under PT9 gave something like 102.806 (so say: 103).

- As I did not have this info when re-loading into Sonar, it was opened by default at 100 bpm, and I added more audio tracks (voices and guitars)...

- Now I got a mixed percussion track which was originally done most likely at 102-103 for the ''guide'', but which I need to use as is. Of course, this percussion track is not aligned with the other tracks.

Is there a way to slow it down to 100 to fit the project ? Export it, create another project, then reimport ? (This is percussion, not vocals fortunately...

As you understand, I do not want to go back to step one.

Thanks
Rob

Is the percussion track audio or Midi?

If it is audio you can try using Audiosnap and match the clip to project tempo. Audiosnap also has this feature called groove matching. Here is a video of it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uvrkXWEK3rQ. I haven't really used this method but hold shift while dragging one end of the clip.

If it is Midi you can press "Q" on the keyboard to bring up the quantize pallet and quantize there.

I'm sure there are other ways to do this.

If I'm reading this correctly, the existing tracks aren't aligned to the timeline tempo to begin with. I would recommend fixing this first, using Set Measure/Beat At Now or possibly Audiosnap's Set Project from Clip.

Then bring the drum track in, and use Clip Follows Project to align it to the timeline.

The devil is in the details. The exact steps depend on the material you're working with. It's easier to do than to describe, but it's likely going to be a little tricky to get it all exactly right.
