Bounce to clip... or ''why make it simple when you can make it complicated'' ...

Someone can explain why X1 made it so unfriendly to bounce multiple clips into one track ?

Previously (8.5 and previous versions) one only had to select the track and do a single bounce to clip, which appeared very simply in that same track! Now, it has to create another track...

Moreover, I discovered tonight (as I wanted to save as ''bundle'' elsewhere for safety backup as I do regularly when a project has reached another level of complexity and many tracks have been added), that when an ausio track has been edited (audio snap or bpm cahnge), you cannot save the project as BUNDLE unless what ?... That you bounce all those modified tracks to clips (thus, create those new tracks explained above)...

So, Cakewalk guys: why make it simple when you can make it complicated, right ?...

Bounce to clips works the same in X1 as in previous versions to bounce clips together in place. Set a keybinding for it, and all you have to do is select the whole track and hit your bounce key.

If you use per-project audio folders (which is highly preferred), you can zip up an project with its audio folder. Zipping is more flexible and more reliable than bundle files, and, generally makes a smaller file as well.

As brundlefly says X1 works the same as it's always worked here. Are you sure you're not selecting "Bounce to track" instead?

Hey thanks for this - Never though doing it this way, plus it does not add another version in the quick list when launching Sonar!  Much easier and direct. Can be done outside of the program too.
    Thanks !
